As I shifted through various forms of performance and dance, touching upon African, Latin, and even mime, I then found the Argentine Tango.

It is the home of this sensuous dance in the upstate region, four hours north of New York City, where Argentine Tango hosts world-reknown Tango stars. The Chanticleer, a downtown bar with its beaming neon rooster, is home to the Ithaca Tangueros' weekly milonga and an inpsiration for my Tango Light Paintings. Some of my large Tango paintings have shared the stage with such dancers as Roxana & Fabian Belmonte and Leandro Palau & Andrea Misse, and musicians, including Daniel Binelli, Pedro Giraudo, and the New York Buenos Aires Connection. | TANGO LIGHT PAINTINGS - Original Paintings These works explore the spatial light of a Tango setting and cosmic light of love. The lines of the figures hint at their physicality while emphasizing the ephemeral nature of the dance. A surface glaze adds flicker and depth to the art.
